The Fourth Hokage was the one who sealed the spirit of the Nine Tailed Fox inside of Naruto. In sealing the demon he gave his life and the Third Hokage came out of retirement to take his place. His real name has yet to be mentioned in either the Anime or the Manga. He was sensei to Kakashi. The Fourth Hokage was taught by Jiraiya.

Enemies knew him as Konohas yellow flash, this because of his remarkable "space time jutsu". In a blink of an eye he could teleport to different areas. He did this with the help of his special Kunai Knives. In Kakashi gaiden he told a bunch of ninja to throw these special Kunai at the enemies. In a short period of time he appeared all over the enemies’ border and killed them all.
