Overview

Orochimaru is another one of the legendary ninjas of the Leaf Country. He was trained by the Third Hokage until he left the village after being denied becoming the next Hokage. He then taught himself a lot of forbidden jutsus, one of which he uses makes himself immortal so that he could take revenge on the Third Hokage. Instead of summoning Toads like Jiraiya, he summons Snakes. Orochimaru uses the Cursed Seal on the ones that he desires to use, them or their bodies. Sasuke was one of his targets with the cursed seal so he could have his body, and even further, the power of the Sharingan, to realize his goal of knowing every Jutsu. Orochimaru plotted against Konoha and planned it's destruction. The destruction failed, but Orochimaru managed to kill the Third Hokage. The Third Hokage wounded Orochimaru's arms so that he can't perform anymore jutsus until he's in another body. Sasuke is under Orochimaru by the end of Part 1 of Naruto.
