Kisame is a member of the Akatsuki, and partner to Itachi Uchiha. He was formerly of the Village hidden in the Mist, and a member of the Seven Swordsman of the Mist. Unlike most Akatsuki partners, he and Itachi cooperate well, and Kisame usually obeys Itachi without question, and looks out for his well-being.

Kisame means "Demon shark" - this is reflected in his appearance. Many would compare him to a shark, as he has pale blue skin, small white eyes, and sharp, triangular teeth. Hoshigaki means "Star ghoul."

Abilities

Kisame wields the giant sword SameHada. This blade has special properties, and only he may use it. Being from the Hidden Mist Village, his main jutsu are water-style, and he often combines water jutsu with his powerful physical attacks. He can create water clones, and if there is no water nearby for him to use, his Water Release: Exploding Water Shockwave can produce a lake's worth. He supposedly has great reserves of chakra, and is so strong that Might Guy needed to open his Sixth Gate to defeat one of his water clones, containing only 30% of Kisame's power. He will also often shape water into sharks that attack his opponents.
